LORD JESUS, I BELIEVE

 

Lord Jesus, I believe

 

Each of us

 

walks our own path

 

            in life’s journey with you

 

That’s because

 

            You have a special message

 

                        for each one of us.

 

A Message that fits me

 

            and only me.

 

Because you made me special, Lord

 

With my own unique combination of gifts and needs

 

                        that separates me

 

         from every other human ever created.

 

Therefore Jesus,

 

when you  and I speak to one another,

 

                        Your words make sense to me

 

Because they touch

 

            my whole being and personality

 

                        in a way that is meant

 

                                    only for my ears

 

                                                only for my growth

 

                                                            only for my salvation.

 

So. Lord, as I hop, stumble and skip

 

                        along the path of life

 

            I want to enjoy this journey

 

                       because this journey is your gift to me

 

                                    and a sign of your love.
