THE HOUR OF POWER EXPERIENCE
A time of praise, worship, and fellowship takes place in the Main Church at St. Stephen's Church 2100 Baseline Rd. Grand Island, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on the 1st Sunday of each month.
5PM --Soup & Rolls in the Hospitality Room
6PM---Praise & Worship in the Main Church
7PM --Refreshments in the Hospitality Room
Prayer Room Ministry ...anytime upon request.
Geared to all ages, from children to senior citizens, the experience will include live worship, scripture, and prayer. Each month's event will feature a theme from scripture, to be expressed through drama, readings, and /or short testimony of God’s power working in the lives of his people. Each evening will be different to adequately express the theme.
Words for songs are projected on a screen for easy viewing. Children and teen are especially encourage to participate. Streamers and flags are available for them to wave during appropriate songs. A prayer basket is always available for petitions. These are prayed for by the prayer group for the rest of the month. A prayer team is available for anyone who would like personal prayers.
Our pledge as a nation is “Under God”, and our coin states in “God we trust”. In this time of unrest in our country, this is an excellent opportunity for Christians to unite for an hour to show honor and gratitude to our Lord, whose protection and grace we seek. Participants are free to worship in whatever style is comfortable for them, whether it is with raised hands, clapping, or just sitting quietly.
